The Pict Leather Hand Embossed Sgian Dubh
This Sgian Dubh is part of our new range of hand crafted and hand embossed Sporrans and Sporran accessories which give a respectful nod to times gone by when a sporran or sgian dubh would be lovingly hand crafted for it's owner over many days or even weeks with simple tools. Our version is crafted with meticulous attention to detail over several days, all at the hand of our senior artisan and finished with a stunning Damascus blade, you won't find a finer looking Sgian Dubh than this anywhere else in Scotland.
Sgian Dubh (pronounced sgeen doo) is derived from Scottish Gaelic meaning 'black blade' or 'hidden knife' Traditionally, the sgian dubh is worn with Highland Kilt, in the cuff of the kilt hose on the dominant hand side.
