Sporran Repairs & Restorations

Breathing New Life Into Your Legacy: Sporran Repairs & Restorations

At our Perth workshop, we don't just handcraft new sporrans—we protect the ones that have already seen a lifetime of celebrations.

A sporran is more than a pouch; it’s a storyteller. Whether it’s a tassel lost at a ceilidh, a tarnished family heirloom, or a regimental pipe band sporran thinned by years of service, our master makers treat every piece with the reverence it deserves.

From the heart of Scotland, we provide expert restoration for customers across the UK and worldwide.

How it works

1. Send us photos Email clear photos of your sporran and the damage to sales@morrison-sporrans.co.uk. Include any background you have on the piece — age, maker, sentimental history. The more we know, the better we can help.

2. We assess and quote Our team will review your photos and come back to you with an honest assessment of what's possible and a quote before any work begins. There's no obligation.

3. Send your sporran to Perth Once you're happy to go ahead, send your sporran to our workshop. We recommend using a tracked and insured postal service, particularly for valuable or sentimental pieces. International customers send to us regularly — we'll guide you through the process.

4. We restore it Our makers get to work. We'll keep you updated and will always contact you if anything unexpected comes up during the repair.

5. It comes home We return your sporran fully repaired, carefully packaged. Turnaround time varies by repair complexity — we'll give you an estimated timeframe when we quote.

A note on materials

All restorations are carried out to the best of our team's ability using the materials available in our workshop. Our aim is always to preserve the original character and authenticity of your sporran as closely as possible. While we source materials carefully to match the original, identical matches cannot always be guaranteed — particularly with vintage or unusual leathers and fur. We'll always be upfront with you about what's achievable.
