Royal Highland Show 2025

Royal Highland Show 2025

The atmosphere at this year’s Royal Highland Show was nothing short of electric, with sunshine and blue skies setting the perfect backdrop for four days of celebrating Scottish craftsmanship, agriculture, and heritage. For Margaret Morrison, the trusty Scottish weather played a key role in our overall experience, drawing in large crowds and creating a vibrant, welcoming environment for exhibitors and visitors alike.

The warm, dry conditions meant that more people were out exploring the full breadth of what the show had to offer — and our stand, highlighting bespoke sporrans, was a popular destination for those seeking quality made in Scotland sporrans. Engaging with customers face-to-face, answering questions about traditional craftsmanship, and witnessing people’s enthusiasm for our work was one of the highlights of the weekend!

Our Little firm based in Perth, Scotland, has long been recognised as one of the leading sporran makers in Scotland, producing bespoke sporrans that are deeply rooted in Scottish heritage. At the Royal Highland Show, we displayed a selection of our most intricate and custom-designed sporrans. The judges praise for combining heritage techniques with contemporary flair, managed to secure us a Highly Commended award in a competitive category. This recognition not only highlights our team’s talent but also puts a spotlight on the growing appreciation for authentic, handcrafted sporrans made in Scotland.

As one of the few dedicated sporran makers still working with traditional methods, Margaret Morrison continues to preserve this important aspect of Scottish culture. Our success at the Royal Highland Show further cements our ambition to be one of the top sporran makers Scotland has to offer.

With the positive energy and strong turnout this year, Margaret Morrison is already making plans to return to the Royal Highland Show in 2026 — this time with an even bigger and better stand! We hope to feature a wider range of her bespoke sporrans, offer our advice on repairs and spares! And create a space where visitors can truly immerse themselves in the art of Scottish sporran making.

The show reaffirmed just how valued handmade, made in Scotland products are, and the team left feeling inspired by the connections made and the overwhelming support received, we can not wait to be back!
